On this 8 package you will immerse yourself in Colombian culture, well you will go to three main cities: Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena. In each city you will go on tour and activities that are iconic to the culture of each region. You will also have some activities that more than culture have become trendy and very coveted.
First you will go to the capital, Bogotá, where you will enjoy a wonderful bike tour and learn how to play our national sport as well as hiking to see gorgeous lagoons that where once believed to be the birthplace of the legend of El dorado.
You will then go to Medellín, also known as the city of eternal spring. While your in this spectacular city you will go on a fabulous walking tour to learn about the city, it’s history and about our famous contemporary artist, Fernando Botero. You will also go to a slum to understand how urban and social projects where vital to reunite a forsaken community with the city.
Finally, you will go to Cartagena, our Caribbean gem. Here you will also go on a walking tour to get to know the Old City of Cartagena, a magical and enchanting place with lively and colorful colonial houses and cobble stone streets that are filled with history. You will also have a chance to have a relaxing day in the breathtaking Rosario Islands.
Day 1 (D):
On your fist day, you will be picked up at the airport where you will meet and greet a friendly guide who will accompany you during the night. You will be taken to a fabulous restaurant, for a welcome dinner, which offers typical food from Colombia’s pacific coast, specifically from Chocó, called Mini-Mal. After enjoying a remarkable dinner you will then be taken to a hip hostel downtown.
Day 2 (B,L):
On this day you will immerse yourself in the Bogota's culture. Your guide will pick you up at the hotel and you will start by going on a fantastic bike tour, where you will have the chance of strolling through some of the capital’s main highlights as you learn about its history, urban art movement as well as diving into local culture and more. Depending on your interests, you will be taken to different locations making this tour a more personalized. Then you will have a phenomenal typical "Bogotano" lunch; you will try Ajiaco, which is a delicious potato soup that you will surely love. After lunch you will go to play Tejo, a game involving clay, rock throwing, and small gunpowder envelops; it is the perfect way to experience an authentic piece of Colombian culture. This game has been played for as long as 500 years dating back to Colombian native indigenous population. Due to this long tradition, this game has become a national sport in Colombia still played by many nowadays, especially in the popular classes. Now, you can become another Tejo player and try out your aiming as you calm your thirst down with some national beer. As a tradition, this game goes on accompanied by a full crate of beer so prepare yourself for it. This is for sure an explosive and out of the ordinary experience you will love. After having fun playing tejo you will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 3 (B,L,D):
This will be a very special day; well you will be taken to a wonderful and magical place. After a delicious breakfast you will be picked-up at the hotel and will be taken to Chingaza National Natural Park. You will hike for about 3 hours until you reach the Siecha Lagoons. This area used to be populated by Muiscas before the Colonial times and Siecha means “Man of Water” in their language. According to several historians there are indications that in these lagoons was where the real offering ceremony of the Legend of El Dorado was actually performed. Although it is also presumed that it was not a unique ceremony, but instead every major chiefdom held their own ceremony in a lagoon in their own territory. As soon you come back down you will be taken to El Monte Teepee Hostel. This fabulous place used to be the owners family house and he then turned it into a hostel. He patiently built each part of the hostel; and every single thing you will see in it was carefully hand picked and selected. This hostel has an authentic familiar vibe that you will be able to feel as soon as you arrive. Besides if your looking for peace and tranquility this will be the perfect place for you, without a doubt this astonishing and stunning place will amaze you and leave you in awe. You will spend the night here in a teepee and will enjoy a delicious artisanal pizza and 3 beers (or soft drink if you prefer).
Day 4 (D):
After breakfast you will be picked up and will be taken to the airport to catch a flight to go to Medellín, the city of eternal spring. As soon as you arrive you will be taken to the hotel to check in and you will have the rest of the day at leisure so you can relax.

Day 5 (B,L):
First, you will go paragliding where you will see the breathtaking landscape of Antioquia. Let a dream come true and experience the sensation of being up high feeling like a bird gliding through the sky. Revel in the excitement of being lifted up slowly and enjoy an endless view over mountains, the city of Bello and Medellín from afar and even a little waterfall. Then you will be driven back to Medellín and you will enjoy a fantastic typical lunch at Ajiacos y Mondongos. After lunch, you will go on fascinating city tour where you will get to see the main sites of the city of eternal spring as you learn about its history and culture. As soon as the city tour ends you will be taken back to your hotel.
Day 6 (B):
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel you will be taken to the airport to catch a flight to go to Cartagena. You will be picked-up at the airport and will be taken to the hotel to check in. You will have some free time to have lunch (at your own expense) and to rest for a while. Late in the afternoon you will go on walking tour through the old city of Cartagena. Get to know the beautiful walled city of Cartagena and get lost between its cobblestone streets. You will even walk through the walls and its bastions, where you will discover some of the most important historical buildings. You’ll be able to absorb as much information and history as possible at your own pace. After the tour you will be taken back to the hotel.
Day 7 (B,L):
Get ready for a scape to paradise! Today you will have a private boat for exploring the Rosario Islands Archipelago. This national park consists of 27 protected islands that have gained world fame for their white sand beaches and turquoise waters. On the boat, you will have the chance of making different stops to lay on the beach or to do some snorkeling. You will stop at Gente del Mar for lunch (at your own expense).
Spend the day at leisure until it’s time to go to the airport for your flight back home.
