On this tour, you will visit three marvelous cities. First, you will arrive in Bogotá, a fantastic city that has a lot to offer from history to gastronomy and nightlife. You will spend two amazing nights in Bogotá where you’ll be able to immerse yourself in our culture and history; you’ll go to wonderful restaurants and party like the locals do in an internationally known restaurant/night club.
Then you will leave to Medellín, the city of the eternal spring. In Medellín, besides it being absolutely beautiful, it’s the most innovative city in the world. It’s a vibrant city in which you will surely have a phenomenal time. You will spend one night in Medellín where you will learn about Colombia’s history, you will eat typical food, a coffee tasting that will blow your mind and a tour throughout the city.
Last but definitely not least, you will go to the magical city of Cartagena. This city has a gorgeous historical center with history in every corner. Medellin is a charming city that will astound you in every single way. You will go to a paradisiacal island, will have typical Colombian coastal food, will walk through the historical city center and discover the gem of the Caribbean.
Day 1 (D)
You will be picked up at the airport in Bogotá and will be taken to the hotel to check-in and then you’ll be taken to Salvo patria, a renowned fusion restaurant, for a welcome dinner located in a hip neighborhood in Bogotá.
Day 2 (B,L)
On this day after having a delicious breakfast you’ll hop on a bicycle to explore Bogotá and hit its highlights. You will then have a delightful lunch at city center and will enjoy a walking tour through the historical center of Bogotá. You will also go to the Gold Museum which has the largest pre-Hispanic gold collection in the world. When you finish, you’ll be taken back to the hotel and will spend the rest of your evening at leisure.
Day 3 (B,L)
After a wonderful breakfast, you will be picked up and taken to the amazing Zipaquira Salt Cathedral, a majestic cathedral built within the tunnels of a salt mine 200 meters underground. Also, visit the place that gave birth to the legend of 'El Dorado': The Guatavita Lagoon.
Day 4 (B,L)
You will leave to Medellín, as soon as you arrive you’ll be picked up at the airport to take you to your hotel and check-in. Have a traditional and delicious lunch in the popular neighborhood El Poblado. Then you’ll be taken on a city tour to get to know the modern and bustling Medellín. Get to know beautiful places of the capital city of Antioquia while your expert guide tells you as much as you’d like to know about Colombian culture and history.
Day 5 (B,L)
After breakfast travel to Guatapé, a small, beautiful and colorful village about a 3-hour car ride away from Medellín. It is also one of Colombia’s must-see attractions, well it has an immense rock known as El Peñol. In the 1970’s a great hydroelectric complex was built that besides helping the economy started to attract a large amount of tourism. A lot of activities started to be realized around the complex and one of them is climbing El Peñol to have a long glance at its marvelous view. After this have a savory lunch at the famous restaurant La Fogata and go back to Medellín to spend the rest of your night at leisure.
Day 6 (B,L)
Fly from Medellín to Cartagena, the beautiful city on the Colombian Caribbean coast. After checking-in at your the Tres Banderas Hotel, have a good lunch at La Mulata in the Old City. Explore the amazing Castillo de San Felipe, a strong fort built on top of a mountain by the Spaniards. Continue to the highest point of Cartagena, El Cerro de la Popa, where you will see the monastery of the Augustinian monks and enjoy the best view of the city.
Day 7 (B,L)
Get ready for a paradisiacal destination, take a boat trip to spend the day in Islas del Rosario, which consists of 27 small islands surrounded by coral reefs which are world famous thanks to their white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Visit the private island where you will be received with a delicious fruit cocktail. Around mid-day, you will have sensational lunch. Go back to Cartagena and get to spend the rest of your evening at leisure.
